SailorDolphin
This website provides a list of dolphins and whales that I have documented on the US East coast and the Bahamas while sailing in those waters aboard my S/V Cirdan. It includes details (with photos & notes) for each cetacean and lists of their sightings from my personal database. This site is intended to allow researchers to access my data.
The processed data provides IDs and sightings for each cetacean. These can also be searched using their details.
Each cetacean has identifying photos of the dorsal, tail, head and body as available.
Each sighting has photos, audio files and video files as available, along with Behaviors, Environmental details and links to each cetacean identified. Maps provide a way to navigate both by sighting and by cetacean.
This data is supplied to the The Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organization (BMMRO)
and to the SEAMAP/MADBC managed by Duke University.
